I believe that the reason why Kenneth Meeks (author) wrote this book, Driving while Black is
because he wants to inform his readers about the consequences that arise when driving while black. I also believe that he wanted to address the issues of racial profiling and the challenges that both cops and citizens face when they encounter each other. From what I have read, I realized that Meeks delivers the information perfectly and allows me the opportunity to understand what is being shown and I have learnt a lot more than I knew before. He is good at transmitting his message to his readers because based on my experience, I grasped the information clearly and easily and I know that it will be retained for a long time. Meeks wrote about social factors that affect blacks while driving and while they are not driving so I learnt a decent amount about prejudice and racial profiling even while taking a walk. 155/243
